If you are installing/removing pavers, asphalt, concrete or expanding your driveway, an engineering permit application is required. If you are working on a civil site project that includes a vertical build or is associated with a building permit, a building permit will be required.
It is very important that you include certain items as part of your permit submittal package. Non-compliance with these standards will result in an immediate disapproval of the permit case.

1. Do I have to put the sod in before scheduling a final inspection.
Yes, installation of sod is required before a final inspection.
2. What is required for a zoning final?
All plant material (shrubbery, plants, trees) must be installed prior to scheduling a zoning final.
3. I’m just pouring a sidewalk/curb/driveway, do I need an inspection?
Yes, inspections are needed for sidewalk and driveways. First schedule the sidewalk, curb, driveway inspection prior to a concrete pour. After the concrete pour, schedule a final inspection.
4. What do I need to have prior to scheduling an inspection?
You will need the city-approved stamped plans, documents, permit, and inspection card printed and placed in a visible location for the inspector.
5. Can I schedule a specific time for an inspection?
At this time we cannot provide a specific time to schedule inspections. When scheduling your inspection you can request the inspector contact you to coordinate a time.
1. As-built surveys and other documentation must be accepted by the reviewing departments (Survey, Water Reclamation, etc.) before the final inspection is approved.
