View Permitting Data

Are you looking for Permitting reports and data?

The City of Orlando's open data website includes Permitting data, tools and resources to help you conduct research, design data visualizations and more.

Online

Step 1.Visit the city's open data website

Users can access all data sets published by the City of Orlando.

See the Permitting Data

You do not need to create an account or sign in unless you would like to save selected data.

Step 2.Choose the type of data

Step 3.Customize the details

  • When the report screen is displayed, you may select which type of data is shown by clicking the "Filter" button in the upper right of the screen.
  • Click "Add a New Filter Condition" to choose which specific data you'd like to see.
    • For example, in the Permitting Applications data set, if you would like to see only Building Permits, you can filter by that application type. If you also want to see the Building Permits issued this year, you can add a new filter condition and filter by issue permit date. If you have problems getting data, try fewer conditions and/or a longer window of time.
  • You will need to create a free account if you would like to save your filtered data for future review or use.

Step 4.Discover additional features

  • You can change the views by clicking on the square grid icons in the upper right of the screen near the social media icons and the search box.
  •  Click the "Export" button to download a copy of the data set in a static format.
  • If you have other questions, visit the open data user's guide or support page.

Step 5.Get more information

You can use our project lookup tool to pay fees, schedule inspections or check the status of a specific permit.

If you can't find what you are looking for, you may need to file a public records request.
