Do you want your child to play on a tackle football team?
Registration will be open from April 1, 2024 to August 23, 2024.
The City of Orlando's tackle football program is a recreational football league. The league offers weekly practices and games that are designed to improve players' fundamentals and skills of football.
The City of Orlando offers five divisions for children ages 5-15: Tykes, Mighty Mite, Pee Wee, Junior and Senior.
Tykes: Ages 5-6 (flag football only). Athletes cannot be older than 6 years old on or before August 31, 2024.
Mighty Mites: Ages 7-8 (max weight of 115.15). Athletes cannot be older than 8 years old on or before August 31, 2024.
Pee Wee: Ages 9-10 (max weight of 125.15). Athletes cannot be older than 10 years old on or before August 31, 2024.
Juniors: Ages 11-12 (max weight of 135.15). Athletes cannot be older than 12 years old on or before August 31, 2024.
Senior: Ages 13, 14, and 9th grade – (unlimited weight). Athletes cannot be older than 14 years old on or before August 31, 2024 and cannot play high school football.
Games are played at Emery Hamilton Sports Complex.
How much does it cost?
The registration fee is $40 per child and covers the rental of a helmet, shoulder pads, uniform pants and jersey, all of which must be returned at the end of the season. Parents/guardians are responsible for purchasing cleats separately.
