Is there a fee to register for the event?
No, this event is free and open to the public with no registration fee.
Is there a fee for using an e-bike provided by the city’s bike share program to participate in the group ride? How can I request to use one? Where do I retrieve and then return the e-bike? When is the deadline to request an e-bike?
At the event Bird and Lime bicycles as well as Veo seated scooters will be provided at no charge for attendees when they register online for the event. Registration for the event will end on Thursday, March 27. At the event, bicycles and seated scooters will be stationed at the northwest corner of the park near the intersection of Amelia Street and Terry Avenue. Bicycles and seated scooters will be returned to the staging areas provided at City Hall along Orange Avenue.
Is there a way I can borrow a helmet?
We will be providing helmet fittings and free helmets at the event on a first come, first served basis. Lime and Bird will also provide helmets as giveaways on a first come, first served basis
Is there a bike leader who will return from City Hall to Luminary Green? If so what is the meeting time and location?
Yes, we will have two guided group bike rides from City Hall to the Luminary Green Park. Meeting times for the rides are 9:40 a.m. and 10 a.m. and the meeting location will be at the Tower of Light in front of City Hall Plaza.
Where do I park my bike at City Hall? At Luminary Green Park?
There will be designated bike parking areas at City Hall Plaza, and attendees can use bike racks already provided within the Luminary Green Park.
Where should I park my car at the City Hall garage with a big bike rack?
Parking is available at the City Commons Garage at 460 Boone Avenue. Upon entering the garage you will take a parking ticket. Parking validation will be provided to event attendees at City Hall Plaza. Do not park on ramps with a bike rack and please select spaces away from the ramp so cars can safely pass.
Where do I check-in to get points for the Employee Fitness Challenge?
At the start of the event, city employees can head to the sign-in stations at Luminary Green Park to receive points for the Employee Fitness Challenge.
