Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer Celebrates the State of the City With 60 Reasons to Love Orlando

WHAT:

On Tuesday, August 7, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer will join the Central Florida community to deliver his 2018 State of the City Address and share the city’s recent accomplishments, announce future initiatives and this year, celebrate 60 reasons to love Orlando.

“I’m excited to join with our community to recognize the significant strides we’ve made together over the last year, while also looking to the future and highlighting our shared goals to ensure Orlando’s continued success and reaffirm our commitment to addressing community challenges,” said Mayor Buddy Dyer. “Every day I feel fortunate to wake up as Mayor of Orlando, and continue to find new things, from places to people to new ideas, to add to the list of reasons to love our city.”

  • 10 a.m. – Media Arrival – Media must arrive by 10 a.m. to set up. Please note, to access the event space, all guests, including media, will be required to go through security screening.
  • Live Broadcasts – For media to broadcast live, portable broadband/cellular backpacks are recommended equipment as cabling options will not be available.

PARKING:

MEDIA PARKING:

Media must have credentials to access the designated media parking area, which will be in the Magnolia Avenue street closure in front of the Dr. Phillips Center between Anderson and South Street. For parking, media must enter Magnolia Avenue from Anderson Street. Upon entering, media parking will be located to the left and vehicles must angle park in the bump out parking spaces.

ATTENDEE PARKING:

Complimentary parking will be available in the City Commons Parking Garage on Boone Avenue between Anderson Street and South Street. Attendees will need to bring their parking ticket to the event for validation.
