Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 3 City Commissioner Robert F. Stuart Open New Fitness Station at Blue Jacket Park

WHAT: 

This Tuesday, Feb. 20, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 3 City Commissioner Robert F. Stuart will officially open a new outdoor fitness facility at 75-acre Blue Jacket Park, increasing the opportunity to get more residents active. The fitness station includes push up bars, parallel bars, a straight bench for lower back and abdominal exercises, a decline press, a horizontal ladder and a climbing structure with overhead pull up bar.

This new facility at Blue Jacket Park will bring the number of free fitness stations available to City of Orlando residents up to 12.

These fitness options support the city’s efforts to promote regularly physical activity and make it easy and affordable for residents to achieve a healthier lifestyle with the option to exercise in the fresh air with natural surroundings.
