City of Orlando continues to add affordable housing for residents through Parramore Oaks
WHAT:
On Friday, August 31, 2018, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 5 City Commissioner Regina I. Hill will join with development partner InVictus Development, LLC to celebrate the groundbreaking for Parramore Oaks, a new mixed-income housing community at the corner of Parramore Avenue and Conley Street, across from Z.L. Riley Park.
The development, being constructed in two phases, will transform the currently vacant six-acre site into 211 new housing units, bringing a mix of affordable, market rate and permanent supportive housing options to Parramore. The construction on the 120 units for Phase 1 is expected to take 18 months.
This project further supports the city’s effort to ensure residents have access to quality, safe and affordable housing and aligns with recommendations developed with the community in the Parramore Comprehensive Neighborhood Plan.
