City of Orlando Conducts Fiscal Year 2019/2020 Budget Work Sessions
WHAT:
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and the Orlando City Council will hold a workshop and two public hearings to determine the millage rate and budget for Fiscal Year 2019/2020.
The proposed FY 2019/2020 budget furthers Mayor Dyer’s continued commitment to investing in neighborhood infrastructure projects, addressing homelessness through “housing first” efforts, making more housing options available for everyone and enhancing public safety efforts to keep Orlando safe.
Under Mayor Dyer’s leadership, the city has proposed a balanced budget without raising taxes or making any major reductions to programs. The proposed millage rate of 6.6500 has been kept the same for five consecutive years, all while delivering the highest levels of service to residents.
