Event will also highlight the city’s newly expanded fleet compressed natural gas station.

What:

The City of Orlando continues to move closer to its goal of running city fleet vehicles on 100% renewable sources by 2030 with the arrival of the city’s first all-electric Orange EV Class A work truck and expansion of the city’s TECO Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Timed Fuel Station.

In line with City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer’s Green Works Orlando Initiatives, the Orlando Fleet & Facilities Management Division has acquired an additional thirty compressed natural gas Solid Waste Refuse Trucks, expanded its CNG station from forty-two to seventy two ports and now manages a fleet in which 86% of on road vehicles have some form of alternative fuel or propulsion system.

On Friday, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer will join Fleet and Facilities Division Manager David Dunn and representatives from the TECO Peoples Gas for a demonstration of the new EV truck and a tour of the CNG station expansion.
