Grand Opening for Discover Downtown, a Completely Re-Imagined and Expanded Downtown Orlando Information Center

WHAT:
On Wednesday, July 10, Discover Downtown – the completely re-imagined and newly renovated downtown Orlando information center, will hold a grand opening event from noon – 5 p.m. with a program beginning at 3 p.m. that will include Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and other elected officials.

The renovation has nearly doubled the size of the center, bringing it to 3,800 square feet and features new offerings in addition to regular services already offered, including “downtown Orlando” branded retail merchandise for sale by local makers, an interactive wall map of downtown and a 30-foot-high original mural by local artist, Boy Kong.

During the grand opening event, guests will have the opportunity to meet the local retail vendors, leave their mark on the interactive coloring wall, and receive 10% off retail merchandise from noon – 5 p.m.

Since its soft opening in May 2019, the center has seen more than 1,000 guests walk thru the doors.
