Media Advisory: Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer to Recognize Miss International Queen Pageant Winner

What:

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 4 City Commissioner Patty Sheehan will be joined by other community leaders and members of Orlando’s LGBTQ+ community to present a proclamation to Jazell Barbie Royale, the first Black person to win Miss International Queen, an international beauty pageant for Transgender women. The proclamation declares April 11th as “Jazell Barbie Royale – Miss International Queen Day” and recognizes Jazell for her work supporting the transgender community and advocating for HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care.
