Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, City Commissioners and Police Chief Orlando Rolón Hosting “Meet Your Chief” Events
WHAT:
The City of Orlando recognizes the important role the community plays in keeping Orlando neighborhoods safe and that resident engagement is a proven and effective way to reduce crime. To strengthen the partnership with Orlando Police Department and the citizens of Orlando, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, City Commissioners and new Orlando Police Department Chief Orlando Rolón will host six “Meet Your Chief” events citywide.
The events will provide an opportunity for Chief Rolón, who was sworn as Orlando’s 39th Chief of Police in October, to connect with the citizens his department serves and share how residents can partner with the Orlando Police Department to work together to keep their neighborhoods safe, including programs such as Neighborhood Watch and National Night Out.
Attendees are encouraged to register and submit their questions for Chief Rolón at cityoforlando.eventbrite.com. Registration is free and not required to attend. Orlando Police Department officers will also be cooking free hot dogs for residents at each event.
