Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Commissioner Jim Gray to Host Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Heroes Community Park in Lake Nona
WHAT:
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 1 City Commissioner Jim Gray will join residents and Tavistock Development Company leaders for the official ribbon cutting of Heroes Community Park.
Located within walking distance of Laureate Park Elementary School, Heroes Community Park is home to four multi-purpose fields, a practice area, playground with a pavilion, concession building, large pavilion along the water and a 12-foot wide pedestrian trail.
Symbolizing the city’s commitment to ensuring access to parks for everyone, Heroes Park is the first of two new parks that the City of Orlando will open in Lake Nona this year. Construction on McCoy Community Park is expected to be completed later this year.
