Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer to Announce New Jobs for City of Orlando Youth Workforce Programs
WHAT:
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orlando City Commissioners and partners from the Gap Foundation, American Hotel and Lodging Association and CareerSource Central Florida to announce an unprecedented expansion of the city’s youth employment programs.
Through new partnerships with the Gap Foundation, American Hotel and Lodging Association and CareerSource Central Florida, there will be 400 new jobs added to the City of Orlando’s youth workforce programs.
These new partners will join longtime job providers Parramore Kidz Zone, the Opportunity Jobs Academy, Americorp, Bank of America and Orlando’s Recreation Division to employ over 1,300 young people this summer, providing critical job readiness training and real world experience through paid internship opportunities.
