Mayor Dyer to Deliver 2019 Annual State of Downtown Address

WHAT:

On Wednesday, October 2, 2019 Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer will hold his 2019 State of the Downtown Address.

During the address, Mayor Dyer will reflect on the continued revitalization of downtown Orlando and Parramore, sharing plans and advancements for the community in affordable housing, education, enhancing quality of life and furthering opportunity for all. 

This year, Mayor Dyer’s annual address will also feature a 360-degree look at efforts to make downtown Orlando the center for urban living, the center for transportation and connectivity, and the center for the careers of tomorrow.

3 p.m. – Doors Open and Registration Begins

3:30 p.m. – Mayor Dyer’s State of Downtown Address

Seaside Plaza
201 South Orange Avenue, 11th Floor

TO ATTEND:

A tradition since 1982, the State of Downtown is a fundraising event for Downtown Orlando Partnership (DOP). Register at doporlando.com. Pre-registration is required.

MEDIA ARRIVAL:

There will be limited room for tripods and cameras. Media should plan to arrive by 3 p.m. to set up.

MEDIA PARKING:

There will be limited on-street media parking near Seaside Plaza. Additional media parking is also available at Orlando City Hall.

Please enter through the lobby of Seaside Plaza to check-in and then proceed to the 11th floor.

MEDIA LIVE BROADCASTS/STREAMING:

Due to technology limitations in the space, live broadcasts and streams may be impacted. For media to broadcast or stream live, portable broadband/cellular backpacks are recommended, as cabling and WIFI options will not be available.
