From I Voted to I Recycled! The City of Orlando Partners with Local Organizations to Recycle Election Signage

WHAT:
The City of Orlando, in partnership with the League of Women Voters of Orange County, Natural Resources Committee, and Eco Strategies Group of Orlando are focusing on keeping election yard signs out of the landfill.

Residents can recycle their election signs at five different locations to reduce waste in the landfill starting Wednesday, November 4 through Sunday, November 22, 2020.

The metal frames will be recycled locally and the signs will be transported to NuCycle Energy in Plant City where they will be transformed to NuCycle's Enviro Fuelcubes. 100% of the Enviro Fuelcubes currently being manufactured by NuCycle are used by a large cement manufacturer to generate electricity, replacing coal as a cleaner energy source.

City Code Enforcement Officers will also be participating in recycling when removing election signs from right-of-ways.

WHEN:
Wednesday, November 4 – Sunday, November 22, 2020

WHERE:
