City of Orlando Announces Additional New Free Mobile COVID-19 Testing Sites in Orlando Neighborhoods

WHAT:
The City of Orlando will open two new, free mobile COVID-19 drive-thru and pedestrian-accessible testing sites later next week and the following week. Locations for the mobile testing sites were selected to ensure broad coverage of the City and based on data from Orlando’s data tracker (Orlando.gov/datatracker) to target locations where a higher number of positive cases has been reported. Located within city neighborhoods, sites will also provide enhanced access for pedestrians and users of other forms of mobility, like biking and public transportation.

The mobile testing sites operate two days per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and rotate to a new location in the city on each operating day. There is no symptom criteria for testing, however, appointments are required, individuals must be 18 years or older and show a valid Orlando and Orange County ID.

Orlando and Orange County residents can make an appointment, by visiting orlando.gov/covid19testing or by calling 407.246.3104. Call Center hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For Spanish speaking residents, please call 407.246.4301 to make an appointment.

Mayor Dyer will visit each testing site on the day of operation and be available for interviews immediately following. Further details and media instructions are below.

COVID-19 Testing Site Details:

  • Testing will be done with no out-of-pocket cost to the Orlando resident.

  • If you don't get a call within five days in regards to your test, please contact  the GENETWORx Lab at 850.583.2419.
