22nd Annual Veterans Day Parade

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, City Commissioners and Community Honor Veterans at the 22nd Annual Veterans Day Parade 

WHAT: 
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and his Veterans Advisory Council will honor the courageous men and women of the armed forces at the 22nd annual City of Orlando Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 13, 2021, in downtown Orlando. 

This year’s parade theme, "Remembering September 11" will open with a tribute to those who have fought for our country and defended our freedom, led by Mayor Dyer and local veterans. 

WHO: 
The parade will consist of a variety of participants including men and women from more than 45 Central Florida veteran organizations, active-duty military, high school JROTCs and the UCF Air Force and Army ROTCs. Bands include Bishop Moore Catholic High School, Lake Nona High School and The Villages Twirlers and Drum Corps.  

The six grand marshals, all of whom have served post 9/11, representing each branch of the U.S. military, will lead the parade: 

  • Blake A. Staehr served for over 20 years as Master Sergeant for the Marine Corps, with many overseas deployments including Bosnia, Morocco, South Africa, and Iraq.  

  • David G. Ladomirak served over 30 years as Chief Warrant Officer in the United States Coast Guard.  

  • Francis J. Gault served over 31 years as Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy.  

  • Jose Belen is a decorated United States Army Field Artillery Combat Veteran who served two concurrent combat tours of duty during Operation Iraqi Freedom.  

  • Richard Ring is a post-9/11 combat veteran and intelligence officer for the United States Air Force.  

  • Todd L. Estes served as Machinist Mate Weapons Master Chief for the United States Navy. 

WHEN: 
Saturday, November 13, 2021 
10:45 a.m. – Opening Ceremony 
11 a.m. - Parade Starts

Media staging area will be at the corner of Orange Avenue and Central Boulevard. 

WHERE: 
Opening Ceremony - Orange Avenue near Central Boulevard 
Parade begins at Robinson Street and Orange Avenue 

ATTENDEE PARKING AND TRAVEL INFORMATION: 
Parade spectators should utilize the Central Garage (55 West Central Boulevard) and the Library Garage (112 East Central Boulevard via Pine Street) for parking. 

Road closures associated with parade staging will run from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Orange Avenue, Amelia Street, West Concord Street, Livingston Street and Robinson Street. Closures along the parade route will run from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Central Boulevard and Rosalind Avenue.
