Ring in the Holidays with Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer at the City of Orlando’s Annual Tree Lighting Celebration

WHAT:
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer invites Central Florida residents and visitors to ring in the holiday season at the City of Orlando’s annual Tree Lighting Celebration.

 

The City of Orlando will host their annual Tree Lighting Celebration for the first official lighting of the 64-foot tree on Friday, December 3, 2021 starting at 8:00 p.m.

 

The highlight of the event is the lighting of the Christmas tree adorned with 2,000 ornaments and 200 pounds in lights that will musically sync with the lights at the Lake Eola fountain and provide precise animation during the shows. The event also includes holiday performances at the Walt Disney Amphitheater, food trucks and a holiday market, and an opportunity to meet Santa from 6 p.m. to 8p.m. at a vendor tent off North Rosalind Avenue.
 
Attendees unable to make it to the tree lighting event, can catch the synchronized light and music Christmas Tree Show every evening through January 6. The show will run each hour from 5:45 p.m. - 9:45 p.m.

 

WHEN:

5:00 p.m. - Food Trucks and Vendor Village opens
6:30 p.m. - Orlando Concert Band Pre-Show
7:00 p.m. - Tree Lighting Stage Show
**7:45 p.m. - Mayor Dyer will be available for media on the south side of the band shell**
8:00 p.m. - Tree Lighting

ATTENDEE PARKING AND TRAVEL INFORMATION:
Parking is available for a fee at all downtown Orlando parking garages, lots and Smart Meters.
The free LYMMO Circulator is recommended for Downtown residents and attendees parking at garages other than the Library Garage (112 East Central Boulevard).

MEDIA PARKING:
Media members can park in the bagged metered spaces on the west side of Rosalind Avenue.
