City of Orlando Brings Mobile Vaccine Sites to Neighborhood Centers Prior to Start of School Year

WHAT:
In an effort to continue ensuring that the COVID-19 vaccine is accessible to all, especially for families prior to the start of the school year, the City of Orlando is bringing mobile vaccine sites to residents in their neighborhoods over the next few weeks. Seven City of Orlando neighborhood centers will host one-day vaccine sites, offering both the Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

Residents age 18 and up are eligible to receive either brand vaccine, and those ages 12-17 can receive the Pfizer vaccine with guardian consent. No pre-registration is required at these vaccine sites.

“We’ve made great strides as a community in stopping the spread of the pandemic thanks to our residents who have been vaccinated,” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. “And it’s critical we continue to make the vaccine available to as many of our residents as possible, especially families now that teenagers are eligible to receive it. Our neighborhood centers are conveniently located throughout the city and it only takes about 30 minutes to get the vaccine there. The City of Orlando remains committed to doing all we can to help residents protect themselves, their families and every person in our community from COVID-19.”
