Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and the Mayor’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission Announces the Dream Series

WHAT:
On Thursday, January 21, 2021, the Orlando Mayor's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission presents the first session of The Dream Series, a six-part community dialogue series facilitated by the Valencia College Peace and Justice Institute.

Through a series of virtual workshops, participants will explore race, systems of privilege, and oppression, with an overarching goal of strengthening the value of relationships, community, and trust within Orlando.

During each session, the Valencia College Peace and Justice Institute will create and protect a safe space for dialogue within Orlando local communities by offering moments of reflection, sharing, and critical thinking.

Each workshop is free, but advanced registration is required. Registration opens two weeks before each session.
