Seeking Photographers: Submit Photos for the 2022 City of Orlando Historic Preservation Board Calendar

WHAT:
The City of Orlando’s Historic Preservation Board is seeking photographs to be a part of its annual Historic Preservation Board Calendar. This year’s theme is Orlando’s historic windows and doors.

To continue to support historic preservation efforts, the city has produced the popular Historic Preservation Board Calendar since 1991 as a depiction of Orlando’s treasured historic resources and is currently seeking photographs for the 2022 calendar.

CALENDAR CONTEST SPECIFICS:
In order for photos to qualify, subject matter should be from structures that are at least 50 years old and be located within one of the City’s local historic districts, National Register of Historic Places districts, or a designated Orlando local landmark.

Submission subjects can be of individual windows or doors, the whole entry or window configuration, or an entire structure to show how these features are significant to the overall character of a structure. Exterior or interior images of the subject will be accepted.

A $100 honorarium will be awarded to each photographer whose picture is selected for the 2022 Historic Preservation Board Calendar, sponsored by McCoy Federal Credit Union.

Submitted photographs become the property of the City of Orlando Historic Preservation Board for use in the annual calendar competition and associated promotions. Winning photos will be selected by members of the Historic Preservation Board through blind judging.
