WHAT:
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and City Commissioners invite Central Florida residents and visitors to kick off the holiday season at the City’s annual Tree Lighting Celebration at Lake Eola Park’s Washington Plaza. The highlight of the event is the countdown to lighting the 64-foot Eola Wonderland Christmas Tree adorned with 2,000 ornaments and 200 pounds of lights. Additionally, the event will also celebrate 100 years of music at the Lake Eola Amphitheater with holiday performances.
The celebration will also kick off the downtown Merry Market, which is returning this year on International Plaza and will be open each weekend through December 23, 2023. Visitors can enjoy a shopping stroll with more than 30 local vendors, food trucks, visits with Santa and a Florida snowfall experience.
The Eola Wonderland Christmas Tree features shows every night that musically sync with the Lake Eola Fountain starting at 5:45 p.m., 6:45 p.m., 7:45 p.m., 8:45 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. through Saturday, January 6, 2024.
