City of Orlando Invites Community to Oath of Office Ceremony

WHAT:
Orlando residents are invited to attend the Oath of Office ceremony for the Mayor of Orlando and City Commission Districts 2, 4 and 6. The ceremony celebrates the swearing-in of Mayor of Orlando Buddy Dyer, District 2 Commissioner Tony Ortiz, District 4 Commissioner Patty Sheehan, and District 6 Commissioner Bakari F. Burns for four-year terms on the Orlando City Council.

The Oath of Office reaffirms each elected official’s commitment to faithfully perform the outlined duties according to the Mayor and District City Commissioner roles within the City of Orlando. The City of Orlando’s Charter requires the Mayor and City Commissioners to recite the Oath before they enter into the duties of office.

Monday, January 8, 2024, at 10 a.m.
***Media Set-Up: Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. for media to begin set-up.***

Media parking will be available in the reserved parking spaces along South Magnolia Avenue in front of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Media must show credentials to parking attendants.
