Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer Invites the Community to Celebrate Earth Month at the Earth Day Work Day Event at City Hall Plaza

Share in the City’s “Water You Waiting For?” Event and Learn About How to Preserve and Protect the Environment

 

WHAT:
On Friday, April 21, 2023, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer invites downtown professionals, residents and the community to the Earth Day Work Day event at City Hall Plaza to celebrate Earth Month. The theme “Water You Waiting For?” will dive into the importance of preserving water and highlight ways to protect this valuable resource.

Earth Day Work Day is a sustainability fair in the city’s downtown core that features educational games, local vendors, music and eco-friendly giveaways and engaging activities, such as conservation kits and painting rain barrels. Attendees can join the city’s Green Works team to learn more about the city’s sustainability initiatives such as zero waste, clean energy, transportation, water, recycling and more ways to protect the environment.

This event is part of the city’s efforts to enhance quality of life, generate diverse economic growth, build a positive and responsible relationship with the earth’s resources and create equitable access to sustainability services for the entire Orlando community.
