Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer Celebrates the Reimagining of Downtown in Annual State of Downtown Address

Address to highlight DTO 2.0, Orlando’s playbook, to transform downtown into a true neighborhood and thriving city center

WHAT:
On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer will hold his 2023 State of the Downtown Address at Steinmetz Hall at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

During the address, Mayor Dyer will share the latest on the city’s DTO 2.0 effort, an action plan that charts the next evolution of downtown Orlando. In the speech, Mayor Dyer will highlight key initiatives from the plan being implemented that focus on ensuring downtown is a vibrant, economically-viable and thriving city for everyone, now and into the future.

Mayor Dyer will also share the latest on downtown’s emergence as “everyone’s neighborhood” and highlight key efforts in the areas of enhancing quality of life, growing amenities, furthering safety and opportunity and addressing community challenges.

PARKING:
There will be media parking at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts behind the theater in loading dock bays 2 and 3 located at 470 South Rosalind Avenue between South Street and Anderson Street.
