City Celebrates 47th Annual Fireworks at the Fountain

Celebrate July 4th at Lake Eola Park at the 47th Annual Fireworks at the Fountain

WHAT:
On Thursday, July 4, 2024, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, City Commissioners and the Mayor’s Veteran Advisory Councilinvite thecommunity to the 47th annual Fireworks at the Fountain event at Lake Eola Park in Downtown Orlando.

Festivities begin at 4 p.m. and spectators are encouraged to arrive early to find a viewing spot and enjoy live entertainment and family-friendly activities, including a kid's zone with face painting, bubbles and balloon animals. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from a variety of food vendors and will conclude with a patriotic firework display, which will begin at 9:10 p.m. accompanied by a performance from the Orlando Concert Band.

The entertainment schedule for theevent is as follows:

  • 4 p.m. – Festivities begin
  • 4:30 – 5:35 p.m. - Harlequin Band and DJ Set
  • 7:30 p.m. City of Orlando Poet Laureate, Shawn Welcome
  • 8 p.m. – Orlando Concert Band
  • 8:45 - 9 p.m. - Mayor Media window behind the Band Shell at the Lake Eola Amphitheater
  • 9 p.m. – Fireworks countdown pre-show
  • 9:10 p.m. – Fireworks show

ATTENDEE PARKING:
Parking is available throughoutdowntown in surface lots and garages.

Downtown residents and those parking in a location other than the Library Garage on Central Boulevard are encouraged to use the free downtown LYMMO circulator.

SunRailwill be operating for free on July 4.Last trains are scheduled to depart at the following times:

  • Church Street Station: the last Northbound train departs at 10:38 p.m. and the last Southbound train departs at 10:51 p.m.
  • LYNX Central Station: the last Northbound last train departs at 10:41 p.m. and the last Southbound last train departs at 10:48 p.m.

Event attendees are encouraged to use alternative methods of transportation to visit Fireworks at the Fountain, including ride-share services, carpooling, buses and bicycles.

MEDIA PARKING:
Media parking will be available in reserved metered spots along Rosalind Avenue, south of Robinson Street. Media must show credentials.
