WHAT:
On Saturday, December 14, 2024, District 4 City Commissioner Patty Sheehan will join the community at Greenwood Cemetery to honor veterans during the holiday season as part of the national Wreaths Across America Day.
Immediately following the opening ceremony recognizing veterans from branches of the military, Commissioner Sheehan and volunteers will place donated wreaths on headstones of fallen service members laid to rest there.
Greenwood Cemetery will be one of more than 4,600 locations nationally participating in Wreaths Across America Day, which began in 1992 at Arlington National Cemetery.
