Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer Joins Community for the City of Orlando’s 23rd Annual Bike to Work Day During Florida Bike Month

WHAT:
On Friday, March 22, 2024, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer will join residents and community partners to kick off Bike to Work Day in celebration of Florida Bike Month in March and promote alternative sustainable commuting options.

Mayor Dyer will kick off the group ride at 8 a.m. and lead participants on a commute through downtown and ending at Orlando City Hall. Along the route on Orange Avenue, riders will enjoy the city’s newly installed intersection murals and artistic curb extensions meant to further safety and placemaking in the downtown core. A limited number of e-bikes and pedicabs will also be available for those who want to participate in the group bike ride but do not own a bike.

At the end of the ride, there will be a post-ride celebration and award presentation. Residents will also have the opportunity to learn more about the city’s bike projects and connect to local biking organizations and resources.
