U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Marathon Work-Along

WHAT:
This Thursday, February 1, 2024, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Greater Orlando Sports Commission President & CEO Jason Siegel and Track Shack Co-Owner Jon Hughes will work-along together with city employees and event organizers to prepare the city as Orlando gears up to host the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Marathon in downtown this Saturday, February 3, 2024.

At the work-along, Mayor Dyer, Siegel and Hughes will help install barricades to close roads along the marathon route to accommodate the more than 360 runners that will vie for a spot on Team USA for the Paris 2024 Olympic games this weekend.

Following the work, Mayor Dyer, Siegel and Hughes will be available for interviews with media to talk about these, and all, the preparations leading into this marquee event.

MEDIA PARKING:
On-street parking meters along the westside of Rosalind Avenue, just north of Central Boulevard will be bagged for media to accommodate parking on a first-come, first-serve basis for this event.
