Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer Lights Up Lake Eola Park at the
City of Orlando’s Annual Tree Lighting Celebration


WHAT:
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer invites the community to ring in the holiday season at the City of Orlando’s annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Friday, December 6, 2024.

Festivities begin at 5 p.m., leading up to the highlight of the event at 8 p.m. for the official tree lighting of the Lake Eola Wonderland Christmas Tree.

The 64-foot tree is adorned with 2,000 ornaments and more than 200 pounds of lights that are musically sync with the Lake Eola fountain for a one-of-a-kind, illuminated show. The celebration event will also feature a holiday market, food trucks, a vendor village, visits with Santa and a Florida snowfall experience.

Following Friday's event, the DTOLive holiday program will activate the Walt Disney Amphitheater every weekend thru December 22, featuring a vibrant array of musical performances on the iconic stage. From classical symphonies and festive choirs to lively jazz bands and intimate acoustic sets, the program promises to create a memorable soundtrack for all to enjoy this season. Attendees unable to make it to the tree lighting event can catch the synchronized light and music Christmas Tree Show every evening through January 6. The show will run each hour from 5:45 p.m. - 9:45 p.m.

7 p.m. - Tree Lighting Stage Show
**7:45 p.m. - Mayor Dyer will be available for interviews on the south side of the band shell**

PARKING AND TRAVEL INFORMATION:
Media can park in the bagged metered spaces on the west side of Rosalind Avenue.

Attendees are encouraged to use alternative modes of transportation to travel to the event including SunRail, ride share, bike share, carpooling and the free downtown LYMMO circulator.
