Tropical Storm Milton – Storm Prep

Last updated on October 06, 2024

In preparation for impacts to the Orlando area as a result of Tropical Storm Milton, City of Orlando crews are checking inlets, lake outfalls, and drainage well intakes, as well as inspecting construction sites to ensure inlets are not blocked.

Because our community has been heavily impacted by an abundance of rainfall in recent weeks, city crews have proactively lowered lakes as much as possible and will continue to monitor them.

Orange County is offering sandbags for residents beginning tomorrow, October 7, 2024, at 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. More information, including a list of locations can be found here
