Orlando Solar Co-op

The City of Orlando is partnering with Solar United Neighbors (SUN) to bring you Solar Switch: a program to offer an easy and affordable opportunity for residents and businesses to go solar by joining a solar co-op. This partnership advances the City of Orlando's goal of 100% renewable energy city-wide by 2050.
  • Joining the co-op is free and there is no obligation. All City of Orlando residents and businesses within Orange County are eligible.
  • SUN and Solar Switch experts support residents through each stage of the process and provide educational workshops located throughout the city and online.
How does it work:
  1. Register: Sign up for free at SolarSwitch.com/Orlando by January 15, 2025.
  2. Personal Recommendation: Upon registering, you will receive a personal recommendation. This offer will include your estimated costs, savings and expected electricity generation.
  3. You Decide: You have until January 15, 2025 to accept the offer. There is no obligation to accept.
  4. Installation: If you accept, the winning installer will contact you for a site survey and set an installation date. All installations will be completed by August 11, 2025.
