During the claim period of 03/19/2023 through 4/15/2023, eight officers worked one-hundred and fifty-eight hours.  The officers contacted one-hundred and eighty-eight drivers. Officers used the opportunity to enlighten drivers by handing out one-hundred and fifty-nine educational pamphlets. The officers issued ninety-five speeding citations, ten citations for a non-speeding moving violation, and issued four non-moving citations.

Furthermore, the officers used caution when issuing sixty-six verbal warnings for speeding, and twenty-one other warnings for non-speed related infractions. Ninety-six vehicles were apprehended, or attempted to apprehend, traveling ninety mph or faster. The most extreme violators during this period were sixteen vehicles traveling one hundred mph or faster. Five vehicles were unable to be pulled over due to their extreme speed, congested traffic conditions, or fleeing a traffic stop. One individual was arrested for a felony warrant. One individual was issued a misdemeanor citation for no driver’s license. Another individual was issued a misdemeanor citation for driving while license suspended, with knowledge.
