Justin Skipper
Justin “SKIP” Skipper is an Orlando-based creator who has worked professionally in the arts for over 13 years. With roots in graphic design and hands-on fabrication, he uses a wide array of styles, skill sets, and artistic mediums, to bring his own concepts - or client creative assets - to life. In his more personal projects, SKIP highlights various social issues, with a strong foundation in human, queer, worker, and animal rights. With his creative fabrication company, A Pivotal Character Artworks, he has become known for his ability to execute large-scale public projects and initiatives, whether as murals, signage, woodworking, 3D art installations, interactive community murals, curated art exhibits, mural event production… or a combination of these services. In addition, these various projects have provided the opportunity to work with city/county municipalities, parks and recreation departments, transportation safety initiatives, private and public schools, music/mural festivals, Florida-based restaurant chains, art galleries, and more. Recently, his company was hired by the City of Orlando Department of Transportation to design and fabricate four 35ft-40ft circular asphalt murals, and four sets of pedestrian crosswalks, which were located in the most prominent traffic intersections in Downtown Orlando. For that project, SKIP led a 10-person fabrication team to complete each intersection asphalt mural in only a single day.
