Kellie is a Florida native and currently resides in Sanford. She enjoys portraiture most and uses acrylic as her medium of choice. A former pastry chef, Kellie followed her dreams of becoming an artist and traded cakes for canvas. Kellie was drawn to art from a very early age, watching Bob Ross, and following diligently to recreate his happy trees with a fan brush. Kellie also attributes her love of painting to her high school art teacher, Miss Souve who encouraged her to keep creating.

Books and movies are a constant inspiration, and Kellie likes to consider her work a snapshot of a story. Many of Kellie’s painting are very nostalgic and whimsical, drawing upon beloved characters as inspiration. Color schemes are just another way Kellie brings whimsy into her paintings. Colors that have been exaggerated as neon’s or pastels have become a signature and heavy outlines are her favorite way to finish a piece.

Kellie is a resident artist at Cafe Tu Tu Tango where you can find her work on the walls, but also find her doing live painting.  Her work is on display at local oddities shop, Prometheus Esoterica where Kellie’s aesthetic is perfectly matched. She has also painted murals for Good Salt Restaurant Group, The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando and the Orlando Mural Festival.

When not creating, you can find her spending time with her husband and daughter and drinking an abundance of tea.
