Who should participate?
Group membership is open to city residents, visitors, business owners or people who work in the city limits. All members must be 18 years old or older.
How is data collected through surveys?
We collect your responses to surveys online using a third-party system called Qualtrics. For some surveys, we may also create paper versions that you can fill out by hand that will be uploaded to Qualtrics.
Who manages the Community Engagement Group?
The CEG is managed by our Digital Innovation & Service Design team. A part of their mission is to help visualize, create and implement equitable digital technology and process solutions that enhance the resident experience.
Will my privacy be protected?
Florida has a very broad public records law. As a result, the information you share as a member of the CEG can be made available to the public and media upon request, unless the information is exempt or confidential under Florida law. You can learn more about Florida public records laws by reviewing the latest statues.
While we value your feedback, please only share information you want to. There is no participation requirement to stay in the CEG. You are also not required to do every feedback activity. You can stop your participation in any activity at any time you like, and you can opt out at any time.
What data is shared with the city when I complete a survey?
In addition to the answers you provide directly, we may also capture information about your device, web browser or the pages that referred you to a survey.
