Host a National Night Out Block Party

Do you want to get your neighbors more involved and make your neighborhood safer?

National Night Out (NNO) on October 1, 2024 is America’s night to give crime and drugs a going away party. The Orlando Police Department makes it easy for you to host a NNO Block Party that will get all of your neighbors engaged in helping to keep Orlando a safe city.

The early registration deadline is August 1, 2024. The regular registration deadline is September 2, 2024.

Step 1.Check your eligibility

Is your neighborhood or church in the City of Orlando?

Step 2.Gather your information

  • What is the address of your Block Party?
  • What time will your party start and end? Most parties will start at 5 p.m.
  • How many neighbors and blocks will you invite?
  • Who is on your Planning Committee? Will you be the point of contact?
  • Do you have a Neighborhood Watch Block Captain?
  • Will you have sponsors?
  • How do you plan to use the block party to educate your neighbors about safety and crime prevention?

Step 3.Decide if you want to enter the theme contest

If you participate in the theme contest, you are eligible for cash prizes.

You will be judged on the description of your theme ideas and how it promotes crime prevention. We encourage you to include your party flyers and any other images that help paint a picture of your party.

You will be able to attach your theme contest entry to your NNO Block Party application.
