Request a Block Party Permit

Do you want to host a block party in your neighborhood? 

The City of Orlando requires permits for neighborhood events that will impede a city roadway. Note: Personal parties are not eligible.

Step 1.Check your eligibility

  • Attendance is limited to a peak attendance of 200 people at any given time during the hours of operation.
  • The Block Party must be private and not open to the general public. The applicant is responsible for ensuring all attendees are invited guests.
  • All residents within the Block Party location must be invited to attend. Personal events and parties such as birthday, graduation, holidays, etc. that only benefit one or two families are not eligible.
  • Commercial vending, cover charges, participation fees and sponsorship is prohibited.
  • Alcoholic beverages shall not be consumed on City streets and sidewalks.
  • The use of alcoholic beverages on private property must comply with all applicable laws.
  • If you plan to use amplified sound equipment, a separate Loudspeaker Permit must be requested at least three business days in advance of the event.
  • Applications may be submitted up to one year prior to the event date and must be submitted no fewer than 14 days prior to the Block Party date. 

Step 2.Tell us about your request

Permits must be requested at least two weeks in advance of the event. You will be asked to create or log into your Eproval account to complete an application.

We will review your application and contact you if we need additional information.

Step 4.Make a payment

When prompted, you can pay the permit processing fee.

Note: Fees for National Night Out Block Parties are covered by the Orlando Police Department.

Step 5.Receive your permit

When your permit is approved, we will email it to you.
