Request a Block Party Permit

Do you want to host a block party in your neighborhood? 

The City of Orlando requires permits for neighborhood events that will impede a city roadway. (Note: Personal parties are not eligible.)

Step 1.Check your eligibility

  • Personal events and parties (birthday, graduation, holiday, etc.) that only benefit one or two families are not eligible.
  • Applications must be submitted at least two weeks in advance of the event.
  • The event must be closed to the public and include no more than 200 residents of the immediate neighborhood.
  • Only one city block per event may be requested.
  • No admission fee may be charged.
  • No commercial activity may be conducted on city streets or sidewalks.
  • No alcohol is permitted, served or consumed on the street, sidewalk or other right of way.
  • If you plan to use amplified sound equipment, a separate Loudspeaker Permit must be requested at least three business days in advance of the event.

Step 2.Tell us about your request

  • If you need a simple Block Party Permit, complete this online application. Permits must be requested at least two weeks in advance of the event.

Step 3.Make a payment

When prompted, you can pay the permit processing fee.

Note: Fees for NNO Block Parties are being covered by the Orlando Police Department.

Step 4.We'll review your request

We will review your application and contact you if we need additional information.

Step 5.Receive your permit

When your permit is approved, we will email it to you.
