From Above by Felix Roman
From above, lakes and springs burst with glitter made of sunshine,
they wink at me with an invitation to play
Oak trees and Spanish moss sway, a balmy breeze sings with an invitation to stay
A green jewel dances at Lake Eola, downtown's adornment twinkles
with an invitation to seize the day
A crowd roars in a stadium like lions, billowing plumes of purple
swirl with an invitation to put team spirit on display
Rollercoasters duel with dragons, and mice and magic dance and
sway, they say, "Hey you up there, come down, this way!"
Bags in hand and hat in place, I step onto the tarmac and pick up my
pace
The Sunshine State, my destination, I exclaim, "ahh finally, I'm on
vacation!"
On my way to see someplace wonderful - I know just the place, the
City Beautiful
