Third Place: Two Tabs by Scottie Campbell

The people living in our old house on Celia Lane don’t know
We carefully planted and named those two tabebuias in the backyard
From the back stoop, the left one is Gabriel -- because golden trumpets

I named the other one Little Joe after the Warholian star - no clue why
The people living there now don’t know how we nurtured them each day
Or that we think of those tabs everytime we jet down Robinson pass them

And in the spring, when those boys are strong and gloriously golden
I envy the view those people wake to out the big window in our old room
