Gabby is diligent, optimistic, and respectful.  Dance is a cornerstone of her life and her leadership in her dance group has taught her a lot about collaboration and team building.  She promotes inclusion by nurturing open communication in the group.  Gabby has experience in volunteerism.  Serving has broadened her perspective of the world as community.  She has accrued over 160 hours of service as a tutor in elementary and high schools, blog writer, peer assistant, and church volunteer.  Gabby has overcome many obstacles in her life to become an academic leader.  Her list of honors include membership in the Beta Club, Science and English honor society, National Honor Society and Student of the Month.

Favorite MLK quote: "History is a long and tragic story of the fact that privileged groups seldom give up their privileges voluntarily. Individuals may see the moral light and give up their unjust posture; but as Reinhold Niebuhr has reminded us, groups are more immoral than individuals."

Future Plans: Gabby’s volunteer service led to her dream of becoming a Clinical Psychologist.  Her wish list of universities includes Yale, UF, and Columbia University.
