Abieyuwa "Abie" Otote - Timber Creek High School

Abie is a peacemaker. She uses her strong voice to speak out against wrong and to stick up for others. She values Martin Luther King, Jr.’s ideals of peace and harmony and resolution of issues that divide us.

Her belief in servant leadership drives her to volunteer. Volunteering with Pre-Med Club, Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Second Harvest Food Bank, she has learned that service to others builds character and humanizes us.

Academically, Abie has achieved a 5.6 weighted average and ranks 29 out of 850 in her class. She loves to read and write and desires to publish her writings in the near future. “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice” is Abie’s favorite Martin Luther King, Jr. quote.

Future Goals: Brown University is Abieyuma’s dream school. She aspires to become a physician.
