Calleigh Bellmany is an ambitious leader and compassionate individual with a strong academic and extracurricular record. Recognized as an AP Super Scholar and an AP Scholar with Honor, she also received the African-American Achievement Award from College Board. Her leadership roles include Student Body Vice President, President of the Black Student Union, representative on the Superintendent Advisory Council, and head of the Inter-Club Council. Calleigh’s extracurricular activities include playing the violin for over seven years and serving as stage manager of the Orchestra Leadership Panel. She is also very involved in the National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and the Neuroscience Club. Her dedication to community service is evident through her volunteer work at a STEM camp and Calleigh’s commitment to excellence and compassionate nature make her an exceptional young lady.  Calleigh is most disturbed by the division within our country, and she calls it a source of pain in her heart. Especially with the election season, Calleigh was dishearten to see lots of people be very divisive and tear others down due to different views, beliefs, and backgrounds. Calleigh’s primary service project is to organize a student string quartet, and then play at several local Ronald McDonalds Houses. It was rewarding to see the kids light up hearing the live music, and for the adults to relax through the music and alleviate some stress. Overall, Calleigh participates in community events because she thinks it is important to pour back to the community the goodness that was provided to her.
