Christopher Bilbruck- East River High School

Christopher Bilbruck loves the arts.  His passion is clearly visible as the current construction head for the school’s theatre department.  When he’s not working on his school’s 5.25 GPA, you can find Christopher involved in Scouting and mentoring younger scouts, volunteering at feeder elementary schools, and serving as the Battalion Commander for East River’s Army JROTC.  His daily goal is to give back to the community and he is guided by Dr. King’s philosophical question:  “What have you done today to help someone?”. Christopher reached his dream of helping others, and met a self directed scout requirement by creating art carts, for a feeder middle school,  which was his Eagle Scout project. Christopher ranks 8th in his class and has a very rigorous academic schedule.  His respect for humanity and his unwavering views of individual beauty are clearly articulated when he says: “ I see the “art” in everyone around me. Their talents and success are crystal clear to me, no matter who they are or what they have done. I am forever intrigued by the passions of others and only want their greatness to be shared with everyone."
