Mayah Thrift is an excellent and hard-working student, full of grit and resilience, ranking 6th in her senior class as well as being an AP scholar. She has dedicated herself to enriching the lives of others  through her involvement as the President of the Environmental Club, President of the SAT/ACT Tutoring Program, and participant in the Orange County Teen Court. Mayah is determined, genuinely caring, passionate and curious and her values about education and helping others are paramount. She hopes to continue her academic excellence and passion for learning through studying Biology, Psychology, and eventually, going to medical school. She wants to deeply connect with people and make a difference in their lives. Mayah truly enjoys being able to serve others and their gratitude motivates her to continue to make service an integral part of living. Mayah’s philanthropic giving back include: bringing environmental education back to her school by leading sustainability initiatives and collaborating with outside organizations, tutoring students 1-on-1 with both the SAT and ACT, being Parliamentarian of Math Club/Mu Alpha Theta as one of their top student performers, being a member of the Calculus Competition Team, participating in Teen Court through the Orange County Juvenile Justice System, being a member of SNHS where she tutors her peers in science, being a member of NHS where she participates in community service projects, and being a member of the Interact Club, where she engages with different people from cultures all around the world.
