Salina-Thao Kim Luong- Edgewater High School

Salina-Thao Kim Luong is actively involved in her community and generously gives back by participating in beautification and clean up projects, volunteering at the Second Harvest Food Bank, donation drives, Legacy Youth basketball drill camp, Camp Intervention, and working with the Rotary Club.  One of Salina’s greatest treasures is her family and her dedication to them.  She demonstrates this through her love, admiration, and respect for them.  Salina’s family has influenced her greatly, contributed to her cultural experiences, provided much support,  and taught her one of Dr. King’s values, which is to truly care for other people just as much as her family cares for her.  Salina is a very smart student ranking in the top 10% of her class, is an avid learner, has strong organizational skills, and consistently finds ways to stay involved.  She excels in her participation in the Key Club where she can continuously utilize her creativity skills and her will to give back.
