Sydney Taylor- Cornerstone Charter Academy
Sydney Taylor is enrolled in very rigorous classes and will consequently, earn her Associate’s in Arts degree upon completing high school. Her outstanding student ranking and robust academic profile has also resulted in her being certified as a bio technician assistant in the Cornerstone Project Lead the Way program. Sydney continues to demonstrate her leadership skills and promote unity as the current founder and president of the first Cornerstone’s Black Student Union. Her diversity and further talents are shown by being the team captain and a finalist in the ATA National Tennis Tournament. Sydney went on to win the district championship multiple times, which of course, resulted in being honored as the Team MVP. Most of all, Sydney demonstrates her love of giving back by working with children, being a tennis teacher to student players in the Special Olympics, and by volunteering in the after-school youth program.
