Tongyue Yang- Cypress Creek High School
Tongyue Yang believes in the power of service to create meaningful change which directed her to lead several supportive initiatives, including campus clean ups, festival set ups, tutoring at Meadow Wood Middle School, and volunteering at Orlando Health Hospital. These efforts have accumulated around 240 community service hours for her, showcasing Tongyue’s commitment to making a positive impact. Tongyue was a natural to be selected to serve as the vice president of the Psychology Club. This position allows her to foster an inclusive environment by encouraging open dialogue while respecting diverse backgrounds, and it affords her the opportunity to focus on personal development and encourage constructive feedback. Tongyue is a gifted leader and has manifested her outstanding talents as President of the Beta Club, her membership in the National Honor Society, and her AP Scholar Award. Tongyue works tirelessly to model the well noted values as championed by Dr. King, and she equally aims to trumpet her well documented exemplary commitment to community service.
